Greg Rahn has played keyboards with a diverse range of artists: Rock guitar legend Ronnie Montrose; legendary blues guitarists Chris Cain and Jimmy Johnson; latin jazz greats Ray Obiedo and Pete Escovedo and hit pop songwriter Bill Champlain to name a few. He has also composed and recorded music for video games and national TV shows and ads including Hershey’s, Huggies and Rice a Roni.
Greg Rahn is a veteran of the video game industry with over 200 game soundtracks to his credit including Star Wars: Uprising, Marvel: Contest Of Champions (2014 G.A.N.G Award nominee), The Hobbit: Legends Of Middle Earth (2014 G.A.N.G Award nominee), The Godfather: Five Families and many others. He has composed music for everything from small ensembles to full blown 70 piece orchestras in Europe and the US. His soundtracks have been honored with various industry awards.
Greg is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and schools on the subject of game audio and is honored to be a member of the Game Music Grammy Committee, which began in 1998 and has now come to fruition with a Grammy category recognizing excellence in video game soundtracks. Greg has also provided consultation on the curriculum for Berklee College Of Music’s Electronic Production and Design program and provided artist consultation to the You Tube music team.
